Co-curricular and extracurricular activities create opportunities and challenges for our students and contribute to a rounded school life and a sense of community.

With a focus on health and wellbeing, sports at CIHS include access basketball court, and a nearby Park.

SPORTS:

All CIHS students learn valuable skills and take part in athletics and cross-country carnivals. Sport and physical activity is a valued and accepted part of our school’s curriculum, contributing to the development of the whole child. It provides a vehicle for social, physical, emotional and moral learning and is an important expression of our culture.

Bringing the CIHS focus on personal achievement into the sporting field, students can gain representation at regional, state-wide and national levels and participate in Championship Days in netball, basketball, touch football and soccer.

OUTDOOR EDUCATION

As part of the School’s vision to grow world ready, tenacious and confident individuals, all students are encouraged to try new activities.

Crown places a high value on Outdoor Education, and on the opportunities that a carefully planned and graded Outdoor Education experience can provide for the personal, spiritual and social development of our students.

The Outdoor Education Program at Crown runs from Year 2 to Year 10. There are certain aspects of the School’s compulsory Outdoor Education Program that commence in Year 7 which lead your child, through a range of other activities. Crown is fortunate in that it is well resourced for the conduct of its Outdoor Education Program where Students explore and extend their comfort zones, discovering new strengths.

VISUAL ARTS, DESIGN AND DRAMA

At CIHS, we value the power of dreaming, the joy of creation and the freedom to collaborate, design and perform. The dynamic and creative CIHS vibe fosters students’ enthusiasm and talent development in visual arts and design and technology. From an early age, students perform at assemblies. Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements or concepts as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.
